Deadly Dichotomies…The World Of Man At The Cusp

With the challenge to Prop. 8 going on, and the religious right attempting to continue to maintain their tunnel vision hold on the laws and individual rights of this country, it would seem that it is time that someone spoke out about what is really happening. In other words, what is really at stake here. Do we allow others to mandate their beliefs and deny us our heritage simply because we can not, or wish not, to believe as they do? De we allow them to relegate us to second class citizenship as we are simply different? There is much more at stake here than the right of same sex couples to marry and enjoy the same rights and privileges as those who hold to religious tenets. I for one would prefer to live in freedom than in what many “define” as freedom for the sake of their perceived purity. Continue reading

We Are Not Expendable

From Genesis 4:11: “The LORD said to him [Moses], “Who gave human beings their mouths? Who makes them deaf or mute? Who gives them sight or makes them blind? Is it not I, the LORD?” Having said this, who are Christians to judge what God has ordained?

It would seem that various ethnic groups and religious orders are dead set against anyone changing their gender. They call the therapies we undergo “elective”, “symptomatic” and the surgeries “invasive” and the end result being anything from a “He-she” to an “it”. Even many lesbian and feminists factions call us gender rapists and claim that we can never be true women, having once been defiled by the presence of a penis. We are excluded from Wymon Born Wymon activities as we were “not born women” and are a defilement to the gender and their ideologies. Islam will give gays and MtF transsexuals access to SRS, but they will not allow a FtM any form of credibility as having been born “women” they can not rise to the exalted position of being “Male – the superior form of the human organism.” Continue reading

The Myths and Big Lies Continue

Since K. Rupert Murdoch bought out the Wall Street Journal, it would seem that the publication, once the gold standard for information on finances and other subjects, much like his 24/7 editorial network known as Fox News, has hit an all time low and has become nothing more than the tabloid Murdoch uses in all of his media outlets. Fox News has not broken a single story in its history, but has repeatedly done a lot of Big Lie spins of the news to its following of under-educated, but highly opinionated viewers.

Recently, one “Dr. Paul McHugh did a hoax of an op-ed article in the June 12th, 2014 edition of the Wall Street journal that is nothing more than a fabrication and distortion of facts from a highly biased research done in 1977 by one of his Johns Hopkins colleagues, one Dr. John Meyer. This 1977 research has now been shown to be totally false in its assertions and runs contrary to later, peer reviewed and irrefutable researches into both neurology and genetics concerning transsexualism.

Despite advances in the surgical field of transitional medicine, plus a lot of neurological studies, well peer reviewed and now internationally accepted and supported by U.S. organizations like the American Medical Association and the American Psychological Association, along with the World Professional Association for Transgender Health, that not only debunk the psychological etiology of transsexualism, but encourage both private and public sector medical plan coverage for these procedures, which are in no way experimental nor elective where indicated. Dr. McHugh is still making assertions that are now demonstrably false and potentially fatal to those suffering from properly diagnosed transsexualism. In short, Dr. McHugh is not up to date, is demonstrably biased in his assertions to the point of deliberate negligence and outright incompetence.

In other words, he [Dr. McHugh] has about the same validity as those tacky little tabloids one encounters at the check out counter of ones local supermarkets.

Inconvenient Facts About The Perfect Creation Since “The Fall Of Man”

One of the basic tenets of religious fundamentalists is the God created mankind man and women, no ands ifs or buts about it. Unfortunately, nature seems to abhor dualities and prefers spectral occurrences. Another cherished misconception of the fundamentalists is that prenatal dysgenesis and other natural occurrences can happen to any part of the human anatomy – except the reproductive system or anything that affects human sexual identity or sexual orientation. I hate to to tell the fundies this (snark!), but nature and God’s use of it isn’t quite as convenient (for the fundamentalists) as they would wish. The following links give some prime examples of the failure of this bronze age paradigm:

Joanieisms: Quotations of JoanieH, Hard Facts And Realities Of Life

, , , , , ,

God save me from the convenient faith and good intentions of those who cling to literal, evangelical, fundamentalist religions. In other words, “Dear God, we have the afflictions – send us the cures!”

The Torment of Comprehension: The critical cusp in every life when the truth becomes known and one faces the dilemma of having insight to much, but also realizes that it is too late to do much, if anything about it. When the adage of “what can not be cured must be endured” is all that one has left. May God have mercy on such as these, for they suffer more in a day than most do in a lifetime. Most times this occurs when the resources, age and health have reached the point where hope is an empty, four-letter word. Continue reading

Do Not Cut Social Security and Medicare – Just Redefine The Income Of The 1%

, , , , ,

I generally do not like to editorialize, but there are times when I feel that I must do so. This is one of them.

When I look back over my lifetime, I am frankly appalled by the massive con game that has been played upon the working class of the United States. This has to do with the Social Security System, which was a program that was made mandatory, in terms of participation, with regards to U.S. citizens. In fact, as a point of just how mandatory it was, I was required to apply for a Social Security Card during the course of my 8th grade Social Studies class, or I would have failed the class by not complying. All well and good – as Social Secuirity and Social Security Disability Insurance pretty much relies upon universal participation if it is going to work. It also relied upon a growing economy in order to assure that the Social Security Trust Fund would be able to meet the needs of the plan participants. Now enter politics and huge sums of money – with a side order of just what constitutes “income” and how it is taxed.

Homosexuality Does Not Equal Sodomite: Using the Bible As A Tool For Scapegoating

Editorial note: The passage numbers in this article are the lines of the original manuscript.

It is amazing how things can change over the course of a few decades. Add to this the tendency people have to make things arbitrary mandatory over time and as the subliminal acculturation becomes increasingly proactive, with each generation, After some attribute of God has become inconvenient to those polities that call themselves religions, and have redefined God, or His mandates, without any fanfare over the course of many generations that have moved ever further away from the oral and cultural framing under which the Holy Scriptures had been penned. Add to this political agendas, and poor transliterations – all too often made with the best of intentions, yet marred by the fact that too many theologians have assumed that whatever they are comfortable with must be the “Will of God”. I’m certain, in my heart of hearts, that the Sadducee and Pharisees of Jesus’ day were just as sincere – and according to Jesus, just as wrong.

Mr. Conservative On Religion And Right Wing Politics, 1980’s

Mr. Conservative On Religion And Right Wing Politics, 1980's

It would seem that the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution is being systematically disassembled by the U.S. Congress and SCOTUS.

Since 1946, the term homosexual has become a universal search and replace for the word of Sodomite., in effect redefining Sodomite to sexual deviations rather than the Sin of Sodom as defined in the Book of Ezekiel, chapter 16: 49 – 52.
“49 “‘Now this was the sin of your sister Sodom: She and her daughters were arrogant, overfed and unconcerned; they did not help the poor and needy. 50 They were haughty and did detestable things before me. Therefore I did away with them as you have seen. 51 Samaria did not commit half the sins you did. You have done more detestable things than they, and have made your sisters seem righteous by all these things you have done. 52 Bear your disgrace, for you have furnished some justification for your sisters. Because your sins were more vile than theirs, they appear more righteous than you. So then, be ashamed and bear your disgrace, for you have made your sisters appear righteous.” NIV Continue reading

Billy Graham On Right Wing Religious Involvement In Politics

Billy Graham On Right Wing Religious Involvement In Politics

It has been awhile since I have posted to this blog, but with the upcoming election, I feel the need to speak out. The two party system that I grew up with had pretty well disappeared and has become a battle for control of the country by the most two powerful factions in our nation. The Religious Right, who since 1946 has been increasingly using demagoguery to be dismissive of what Sodomy really is by making scapegoats of a small minority of people because of their sexual differences, that are not responsive to repairative therapies and are essentially innate to their nature. Shunning and outright ejection from most Christian denominations are the order of the day unless they deny their innate nature to their own self-destruction. Essentially what they are doing is creating an oligarchy, comprised of the richest 1% of the nation’s people and hiding it behind a nominal theocracy Continue reading

Invited to be Light

Genesis 1:1-5 | 1/8/2012

It’s easy to remember some of the last words of famous and infamous people — you know, those last utterances before they exit the stage into oblivion. Like Civil War Union General John Sedgwick who, looking across a field at a bunch of Confederate snipers, said to his nervous aide, “They couldn’t hit an elephant at this distance” (See “Famous Last Words” in the March-April 2003 issue of Homiletics).

But what about famous first words? Those words that launched some new venture or discovery. Sure, we remember Neil Armstrong’s first words upon stepping on to the moon: “That’s one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.” And Alexander Graham Bell’s first words spoken on the telephone in 1875: “Mr. Watson, come here — I want to see you.”. But lots of other first words that signaled the beginning of important events or technological advances, while less familiar, were no less revolutionary.

The Cost of Christmas

John 1:1-14 | 12/25/2011

What if we looked at Christmas in terms of relationships? The cost is still high, but the impact is much greater.

Research shows us that if we bought everything suggested in the carol “The Twelve Days of Christmas” we’d get set back more than a hundred grand. Maids a-milking and lords a-leaping are expensive. But what is the true cost of Christmas?
